Responsibilities:
Actively Manage 3PL/4PL Relationships:
Foster strong relationships with our defined 3PL and 4PL logistic partner.
Collaborate closely with site shipping to optimize logistics operations and ensure efficiency.
Define critical KPI's for the 3PL/4PL partner and for the business; review with a regular cadence, ensuring we hit performance targets and implement corrective actions to close any gaps to plan.
Serve as Logistics SME (Subject Matter Expert):
Develop and maintain expertise across all logistics types and transportation modes.
Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to implement in logistics strategies.
Liaison Between Manufacturing and Transportation:
Coordinate logistics between manufacturing plants, shipping/receiving, and transportation partners.
Ensure seamless integration of logistics processes to enhance overall supply chain efficiency, while supporting the site shipping teams.
Continuous Improvement:
Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance logistics operations.
Focus on customer satisfaction and contribute positive EBITDA impact.
Guidance & Compliance:
Provide guidance and instructions to ensure that our shipping team members adhere with activities and procedures that will deliver commitments.
Have strong relationships to ensure an open dialogue to overcome barriers and develop optimal solutions collaboratively.
Optimize Logistics Cost:
Identify opportunities to optimize the logistics cost structure, vendor engagement, project management, and collaboration with partner teams on system improvements.
Ensure shipments go out on time & that month end is evenly distributed so that shipments out don't become a bottleneck.
Monitor Key Performance Indicators:
Support overall performance and efficiency by developing and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) throughout shipping, receiving, and warehousing cycles.
Leverage technology and logistics management systems to enhance visibility, track shipments, and analyze performance metrics.
Management Reporting:
Communicate performance on a weekly, monthly, and/or quarterly basis and report back on employee performance and annual evaluations.
Other projects/responsibilities as assigned.
SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES Education and/or
Experience:
Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; and minimum of five years related experience and/or training in logistics function.
Language Skills:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to speak effectively to employees of the organization.
Business Acumen:
Exhibit a deep understanding of business operations and strategy.
Makes informed decisions that align with organizational goals and is able to drive business results by making data driven decisions and taking action to improve performance.

Qualifications:
Plastics or Chemical Industry Experience with a Manufacturing Organization.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
